Air-Frame VPN

An Encryption and Compression module is fitted as standard to all High-Speed and Managed Air-Frame products (Air-Frame 100 range) and provides IPsec services. The following additional features may be enabled:

L2TP	The VPN capability uses Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol for both 'on-air' and end to end VPNs.
On-air	Air-Frame may be configured to create on-air VPNs. The data arriving at an Air-Frame from a local LAN is encrypted before being transmitted onto the radio link. On receipt at the radio peer Air-Frame it is immediately de-crypted. This easily configured system creates very secure and private radio connections. Individual end points may have separate VPNs.
End to end	The originating (Customer based) Air-Frame may be configured to create a VPN with a network end point using the L2TP protocol. This creates a secure pipe from the customer premises to the remote location and includes both the radio connection and the Internet or other intervening network.
