Ethernet Configurations

This section describes the possible methods for connecting Air-Frame (all models) in an Ethernet network.

Direct Connection (no HUB or Switch)

	This shows Air-Frame (any model) directly connected to a single PC or any other Ethernet enabled device (e.g. an RTU) without a Hub (or switch) using a 'Crossed' Ethernet Cable. Notes: A 'crossed' cable is conventionally red or marked red and is also used for Hub to Hub (or Switch to Switch) connections.
Network connection (using a Hub or Switch)
	This shows Air-Frame (any model) connected to one or more PCs or other Ethernet enabled devices (e.g. an RTUs) via a Hub (or switch) using a 'Straight' Cable). Notes: A 'straight' cable is conventionally blue and is the most common Ethernet cable type.
